Privacy Policy
This policy explains in plain language which data FitTracker needs for workouts, synchronization, and social features.
1. Who is responsible for the data
The FitTracker data controller is Igor Arkadyevich Boldyrev, Russia. For questions about privacy, access, correction, or deletion of your data, contact i.igor.boldyrev@gmail.com.
2. What data we process
- Account data: name or nickname, email address, account identifier, and sign-in details for the selected sign-in method through Appwrite, Google, or Apple.
- Profile: photo, description, app settings, language, time zone, and notification preferences.
- Workouts: selected exercises, repetitions, sets, duration, goals, streaks, statistics, and results.
- Social content: published stories, photos, reactions, comments, subscriptions, and the user identifiers associated with them.
- Push notifications: device token and technical information needed to deliver notifications through Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Camera and pose recognition: camera frames and pose landmarks are used to count movements. Pose recognition is processed on the device; frames are not sent to the server unless the user chooses to publish media in a story.
- Technical information: app version, device type, OS version, language, time zone, error information, and security information needed to operate the service.
3. Why we use the data
We use data to create and maintain an account, save progress on the user's devices and on the server, count exercises, display statistics and rankings, publish stories selected by the user, deliver notifications, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
4. Who may process the data
FitTracker uses Appwrite as its server platform for authentication, databases, and file storage. Apple, Google, and Firebase services may be used for sign-in and push notifications. These services receive only the data needed for the relevant operation and process it under their own rules and terms.
5. Publications and visibility
A story, photo, comment, reaction, or workout result becomes visible to other users only after the user takes the action provided by the app interface. Public content may be available to followers and users viewing a profile, depending on the settings of the relevant feature.
6. Retention
Account and progress data are stored while the account is active or until a deletion request is made. Stories and associated media may be automatically deleted after their display period ends according to the app's logic. Technical logs may be retained for a limited period for security and diagnostics.
7. Deleting an account
In the app, open Profile โ Profile settings โ Delete account and confirm the action. When the request succeeds, the FitTracker account and associated FitTracker data are deleted. If you cannot sign in, send a request to i.igor.boldyrev@gmail.com. More details are available on the account deletion page.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including secure connections, access controls for server operations, and separation of client and server secrets. No method of transmitting or storing data guarantees absolute security, so please do not place sensitive information in your profile or comments.
9. Children
FitTracker is not intended for independent use by children below the minimum age established by applicable law. If you believe that a child provided us with data without the required consent, please contact the controller.
10. Changes to this policy
For material changes, we will update the effective date and publish the new version on this page. Continuing to use FitTracker after changes are published means that you have reviewed the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
